Club Knockout Saturday 28 February 2009
The Club Knockout competition was held on Saturday evening. It was supported by 34 dogs. The course was set by our two judges, Helen and Marc Saunders, and judging commenced just after 1830 hrs. It was a fast and spirited contest, with the first round seeing Paul and Derv, Katie and Pip, Katie and Gem, Kate and Pearl, Katie and Woody, Kate and Tess, Kevin and Easy, Sue and Dinky, Steve and Tye, Sue and Skipper, Dorothy and Bess, Milie and Charlie, Cat and Todd, Jo and Cookie, Katie and Blaze, Cat and Lucky, and Christine and Leo seeing their way through to the next round.
The final result was:
1st place Paul Moore and Derv
2nd place Catherine Harvey and Lucky
3rd places Katie Shapland and Woody / Steve Fassam and Tye
5th places Kate Smith and Pearl / Kevin Steggell and Easy / Dorothy Herbert and Bess / JoSnowhill and Cookie
The presentation of the trophy and the rosettes took place immediately after the competition.
We would like to thank our judges for putting together a good course for all levels and all sizes competing.
There was also sufficient time to run a single competition. The course was set by Helen, who kindly judged again.
The results were as follows:
1st place Kate and Giggles 18.67 seconds
2nd place Simon and Bob 19.05 seconds
3rd place Katie and Pip 19.12 seconds
4th place Katie and Woody 19.65 seconds
5th place Lesley and Daisy 19.79 seconds
6th place Kevin and Dodger 19.82 seconds

The evening ended just after 9 pm when everything was packed away and the lights turned off.
We hope to see a lot more of Mid Downs club members at our next Club Competition, it is a fun evening and we would like you all to continue to support it.
