Wilmslow show report 10/1/09

" I know the majority of MDDAC members have never ventured to Myerscough which is near Preston Lancashire but I think it is fair to say that this is the best indoor venue in the country put on for Agility with 6 indoor rings and hot air corridors bringing the temperature up all round. There is also arena seating rings 1-4 and an inexpensive restaurant seating 60 and overlooking ring 1. They have changed all surfaces to bound sand similar to Merrist Wood. The exercise area is small but with ample parking all round the venue the walk into the warm is very short.

Number of runs similar to the Mid Downs show at between 2500 and 3000. Courses were generally what you would see anywhere except curiously there were no weaves in 4 out of the 6 rings during the whole of the day possibly because of pegging problems. Marking and repositioning may have solved this as generally the weaves move unusually which is of course the norm in training.

As for your rovering reporter the best achievement was a place in Agility with Charlie Brown who does not normally do contacts which says everything really about the day"
